All vacuums, however vacuous, will be filled? Well, then, brobro, I am waiting, plenty of nothing that I am!

And if parting is sweet sorrow, it may be all there is, according to one view. (Don't wanna subscribe.)

Yes, Gregory, you have yet to Re-learn the sorrows of parting. But, be not afraid, all vacuums will be filled.

Ha ha ha! Very nice! A true linguist's take on the matter.

So what, more accurately, is futz, you old futzer?

And what about the derivations of rhyming slang like this? Is it rhyme that gives rise to meaning, including confused meaning?

I can certainly sympathize with the ineptitude. Several books of the Old Testament -- lost, unfortunately -- deal with plumbing, wiring, and other areas of home repair. Jews learned to separate milk and meat, but when it comes to faucets, our primary tools are the phone and the checkbook.

Curiosity and perseverance, two qualities that got me to where I am musically and academically, are totally lacking in this other area. I get frustrated easily, and some of my best fixes came when I was able to quiet my mind.

Lexical note: one can be a putz, one can futz around, and one can be a patzer (usually applied to chess, but revelant to any endeavor in which one is a hapless pretender or dilettante). "Putz (around)" as a verb in the sense of "futz" arises as an erroneous replacement for "futz." "Putz" itself is another name for the penis.

I too saw one recently. This one on the ground. Down at the end on the street by our neighbor Leroy's. It was sitting at curbside, I think pondering what bill of fare to next dine upon.

Yes, I think we should collect a goodly amount of cadavers and ship them book rate. By the time they arrive, he should be able to guess the text.
