Allweather Roof holder folder

This roofing contractor needed a promotion vehicle, something to take out and present to customers and prospects. Something to highlight big successful projects. So, this holder folder was created. The cover shows a stunning image of the recently completed Target Center, home of the NBA Timberwolves, and the inside contains big splashy photos of other big projects, each with a concise text description.

It describes the products in detail, and with illustrations. It gives installation recommendations. Lays out the warranty. And gives architectural specifiers all the specs.

Our client had to get their new radiology product to market, higgledy-hig! We did a quick study, wrote and designed this flyer, and had it on the plane, with the client, just in time for the trade show they were attending. Whew! A close call! But on time, every time, with Young Zeck.

Lanier

This 3M spin-off was spinning off arrays of high-end copying machines. The 7365 system represented at the time a rare combination of full features and ease of use. We explain the features, illustrate their use, and lay out the specs in easy-to-read tables.

Telex Communications

Who doesn’t remember the frustration of trying to dupe a hissing audio source — and getting nothing but more hissing? With this system from Telex, the user gets ultraclean masters, no matter the source. This digital editing duplication system takes any audio tape input and outputs nothing but clean copies.

Food Animal Biotechnology Center

Calling all scientists! Calling all food scientists! This brochure was mailed out to several thousand participants, both academic and industrial, who converged on the St. Paul campus of the U of M for this food science symposium.

3M Tech Forum

For years, the 3M scientist organization Tech Forum had been moribund. Put it this way, it was a whisker this side of dead. This classy brochure, with case studies of new members and jolts of persuasion, helped turn around the club and put new pizzazz in it.

University of Minnesota Graduate Program in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics

Who wants to attend the U of M grad school? Who among all the best and brightest young men and women entering high-powered science grad school programs? This recruitment brochure explains the advantages of the U of M program and features concise profiles of faculty members and their research. (Yes, we got ‘em to speak in the first person and describe their projects clearly.) The brochure was accompanied by a poster, to be hung in academic halls, with a postcard asking for information.
